Boutron, Pierre

(January 1, 1947, Lisbon, Portugal-)

   He was born in Portugal, where his father, a marine of­ficer, was posted. After completing his secondary stud­ies at Nice and Viroflay, he attended drama courses at the Conservatoire de Paris. In 1967, he joined the Compagnie Barrault-Renaud at the Odéon and then at the Gare d'Orsay before directing his first play adapted from Lautréamont's Les Chants de Maldoror in 1974. Known mostly as a TV director, he shot four feature films. Other credits (as TV actor): 1971 Le Soldat et la Sorcière (Jean-Paul Carrère); 1976 Christophe Colomb (Jean-Paul Carrère); 1979 Mon Ami Gaylord (6 X 52', Pierre Goutas); 1980 Le Devine-Vent (Régis Forissier).
