Prévert, Pierre

   He became acquainted with the surrealists with his brother, poet Jacques Prévert (1900-1976), and co-directed his first short with Marcel Duhamel. In 1932, he co-founded the theatrical group Prémices, which later became the politically involved group Octobre, an attempt to create a proletarian theater.
