Barkus, Arnold

   After receiving a BA in philosophy from Yale Uni­versity, he made his film debut as actor (1991 A Little Stiff, Greg Watkins, Cavah Zahedi, USA; 1995 Cinq à sec, short, Jacky Katu; 1997 Sunday, Jonathan Nossiter; 2001 I Am Joh Polonski's Brother, Raphaël Nadjari, France / USA; 2002 Les Naufragés de la D/7, Luc Moullet). His first feature, shot in New York in English, was seen on the art house and festival circuit in 1992. Also a playwright (Bad Science), he co-wrote Red Hook (Konstantin Bojanov, 2007).
