- Barjol, Jean-Michel
- (May 19, 1938, Marseille, Bouches-du-Rhône, France - )He was an orphan at a very young age and had a eventful and disturbed childhood. After spending years in boarding schools, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in natural sciences. At the end of his twenty-seven months of military service, he opted for cinema and began filming his own story, day after day, without script. He founded a theatrical group, Le Théâtre du Temps Présent, and shot a four-hour western with the members of the troupe (Blues pour un Cow Boy qui a mal au Ventre). In 1981, he co-created, with three friends of his, a film production company, B.Q.H.L. Productions.
