Frydman, Raphaël

   A movie buff since his childhood, he directed video shorts in his teenage years. He studied cinema at the University of Paris III (having graduated with a bach­elor's degree in the Arts du Spectacle) and New York University Tish School of the Arts before beginning as a second assistant director (1997 A vendre / USA: For Sale, Laetitia Masson; La Soupe, short, Antoine Santana; 1998 L'Ecole de la Chair / USA: The School of Flesh, Benoît Jacquot; Harlem, François Cuel; 1999 Carrousel, short, François Cuel).
