   Parallel with his directing career, he successively worked as an editor (1936 Marinella, Pierre Caron), assistant director (1939 Circonstances atténuantes / UK and USA: Extenuating Circumstances, Jean Boyer; 1940 Sérénade, Jean Boyer; Miquette, Jean Boyer), and production manager (1946 Fils de France, Pierre Blondy). He killed himself at age thirty-eight.
