- (François Salomons / March 2, 1920, Paris, France - January 29, 2009, Boulogne-Billancourt, France)The brother of actor Jean-Pierre Aumont (19111991), he started as an assistant director to Pierre Caron in 1940 (Ils étaient Cinq Permissionnaires, released in 1945) and news cameraman and then cinematographer. His first film was shot in Africa during World War II. He was an uncredited technical adviser to Gregg G. Tallas (1949 Siren of Atlantis, USA) and supervised Le Siècle des Lumières, a TV movie directed by Claude Brûlé in 1976. He appeared in L'Eternel Mari (TV movie, Denys Granier-Deferre) and as himself in a documentary on his brother Jean-Pierre Aumont, Charme et Fous-Rires, Patty Villiers).
