Tirard, Laurent

   After studying cinema at New York University, he worked as screenplay reader for Warner Bros. in Los Angeles. Back in France, he interviewed many film di­rectors and published criticism in the magazine Studio for seven years. He directed his first movie, a short, in 1999 and co-wrote two feature films (2004 Le plus beau Jour de ma Vie, Julie Lipinski; 2006 Prête-moi ta Main, Eric Lartigau) and a few TV movies (2002 Ton Tour viendra, Harry Cleven; Mère, Fille: Mode d'Emploi / UK: My Darling Caroline / USA: Maternal Love, Thi­erry Binist; Fred et son orchestre, episode "Le Secret de Laure", Michaëla Watteaux; 2004 Mon Vrai Père, Dominique Ladoge). Book: 2005 Leçons de Cinéma (two volumes, Nouveau Monde Editions).
