Thorn, Jean-Pierre

(January 24, 1947, Paris, France-)

   He started directing Bertolt Brecht's plays in Aix-en-Provence (The Guns of Carrar; Saint-Joan of the Slaugh­terhouses) in 1965 before directing political documen­taries. From 1971 to 1978, he gave up cinema to work in a factory. Then he came back behind the camera and shot his first feature film in 1979.
