Sédouy, Alain de

(Alain Le Chartier de Sédouy / November 15, 1929, Paris, France - )

   A journalist, he notably was a war correspond­ent during the Algerian War. In 1969, he produced the much-debated Marcel Ophuls documentary Le Chagrin et la Pitié / Le Chagrin et la Pitié—Chronique d'une Ville française sous l'Occupation / Das Haus ne-benan—Chronik einer franzôsischen Stadt im Kriege / Zorn und Mitleid / UK and USA: The Sorrow and the Pity. He directed or co-directed several movies for cinema and TV.
