- (December 15, 1949, France - )His parents were movie buffs, and he frequented the French Cinémathèque in his teenage years. He dropped out of high school and was hired as a set assistant by the ORTF (French TV at the time) in 1968. Then he became an assistant to director Marcel Ha-noun, who introduced him to editing. He worked as a film editor before shooting scientific documentaries and TV reports for Panorama.
