(July 3, 1921, Paris, France - February 2, 1993, Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, France)
   Born into a wealthy family, he worked as a painting broker in the USA. After shooting many amateur films, he became a professional director in 1955 specializing in documentaries.
