- (1943, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Alpes-Maritimes, France - )The son of teachers, he spent his childhood in Conakry, Guinea, and his teenage years in Angers, France. After studying successively at the Beaux-Arts of Rouen, at the Art Deco of Paris, and at the California Institute of the Arts, he learned his craft making some amateur animated pictures.
