- (Marie Edgar Noetinger / May 9, 1895, Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France - July 7, 1963, Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France)He was a well-known playwright when his association with cinema began. In 1930, he was hired by MGM and went to California, shooting the French version of Charles Brabin's Call of the Flesh / The Singer of Sevilla. His American experience inspired him to author a book against Hollywood (1933 L'Epicerie des Rêves, Editions Baudinière, Paris).
