- (October 14, 1937, Paris, France - )He started as a film critic writing for Les Cahiers du Cinéma in 1956. A film director since 1960, he authored a couple of books (1963 Fritz Lang, Editions Seghers; 1993 La Politique des Acteurs: Gary Cooper, John Wayne, Cary Grant, James Stewart, Editions des Cahiers du Cinéma) and published a short story ("Mon Premier Stelvio") in Le Thé des Cinéastes (2004).
