He was forced into exile in Paris after the Nazi takeover in 1933. He worked as production manager, executive producer, and line producer on almost eighty movies from 1930 (Lévy et Cie, André Hugon) to 1985 (Gefahr fur die Liebe—Aids / A.I.D.S.
