Leconte, Jean-Louis

(May 17, 1948, Paris, France - )

   Having graduated with a bachelor's degree in eco­nomic science, he learned his craft watching four or five movies a day at the French Cinémathèque. A film director since 1970, he also played in a movie (1975 Allégorie, Christian Paureilhe) and co-wrote several features (1986 Les Longs Manteaux / Expreso a la emboscada / Los largos abrigos, José Giovanni, France / Argentina; 1996 Les Caprices d'un Fleuve, collabora­tion only; 1997 Tenue de Soirée, Philippe Lioret; 2004 L'Equipier, collaboration only, Philippe Lioret; 2006 Serko, Joël Farges). In 1978-1979, he directed reports for Gaumont.
