   The son of actress Renée Saint-Cyr (1904-2004), he studied law before entering films as a trainee assis­tant manager (1945 La Route du Bagne, Léon Mathot). In 2005, he published his autobiography (On aura tout vu, Flammarion). The previous year, he wrote the screenplay of a comic book (On achève bien les Cons!, Editions Soleil).
