- (September 3, 1953, Le Coteau, Loire, France - )A movie buff since childhood, he bought his first camera at age seventeen. After briefly working as a technician for France Télécom in Nancy, he studied animation at Cinémation Studios. He met Marc Caro at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and began directing animated shorts with him. They ended their collaboration after Alien Resurrection / Alien 4 in 1997.
