- (October 26, 1929, Tunis, Tunisia - )Having settled in France after that country's liberation, he studied aeronautical techniques and general mechanics and attended André Vigneau's dramatic art courses at the C.E.R.T. (Centre d'Etudes de Radio Télévision). Then he worked as a journalist and photographer while shooting his first amateur films. He shunned established rules and dedicated himself to experimental cinema. In 1969, he created the review Cinéthique.
