(July 7, 1976, Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine, France - ) and Palud, Xavier

   The son of director Hervé Palud, Xavier Palud stud­ied for a year at the ESCA (Ecole Supérieure de Cinéastes et d'Acteurs) before entering films as an apprentice assistant director (1994 Un Indien dans la Ville, Hervé Palud). Working as an extra on the TV series H in 1998, he met David Moreau, a former student at the ESRA (Ecole Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle), who served as an assistant director. They wrote three pilots of a TV series that never was filmed before shooting their first horror movie. Other credit (Xavier Palud only, as construction laborer): 2000 La Veuve de Saint-Pierre / The Widow of Saint-Pierre (Patrice Leconte, France / Canada).
