(René Dezeville / March 27, 1881, Levallois-Perret, Hauts-de-Seine, France - July I, 1960, Sartrouville, Yvelines, France)
   He was a stage actor first before entering films in 1909 (1909 Frédéric le Grand, short, Gérard Bour­geois, Jean Durand; Le Miracle du Collier, short, Jean Durand; 1910 Athalie, short, Michel Carré; La Chatte métamorphosée en Femme, short, Michel Carré). Hav­ing been demobilized after being seriously injured, he co-directed several movies with Louis Mercanton (1916-1918). He co-wrote Gosse de Riche (Charles Burguet, 1920) and wrote L'Homme à lHispano (Julien Duvivier, 1926).
